The Dogs
Duke
Being the eldest of the goodfellas crew, Duke took his job very seriously. This old man was a rescue shepherd mix who loved to roam the farm and socialize with all his animal friends. Duke was a gentle fella who enjoyed hanging with the chickens and occasionally stealing their food. Duke has moved on to doggy heaven, but will always be a special part of the farm.
Riggs
Riggs always knew how to light up a room. Unlike Duke who enjoyed eating the chicken food, Riggs tended to get confused and tried to eat the chickens. As he got older however, he accepted that they were friends. Riggs has joined Duke in doggy heaven, but we know they’re watching over all their animal friends still.
Tiller
“At GoodFellas, everybody’s gotta watch everybody else”.
Tiller is a 1 year old german shepherd. He was found as a stray with his brother by some family friends, and when nobody claimed him we knew it was meant to be. Tiller is a big cuddler and loves his people. When he isn’t cuddling his humans, you will almost certainly find him running around with Athena.
Athena
“She knew how to take care of her people and the other animals, and that’s what GoodFellas is all about. It’s kickback city.”
Athena is a 2 year old purebred german shepherd and loves causing trouble with her little brother, Tiller. She is a very fast runner and loves playing keep away with the toys, and can often be found trying to steal food from her people.
The Cows
Robert De Niro
“Never rat on your friends, and always keep your mouth shut. Unless someone has fresh hay, then its time to talk”
Sammy the Bull
“My name has been dragged through the mud more than once and every time I pick it up and wash it off again, sometimes I even lay in the mud”.
Sammy and De Niro were the first two large animals we welcomed to the farm. Although their horns may look intimidating, these two are some of the friendliest giants you’ll ever meet. They love running around their pasture and enjoy cuddles from their farm friends. Sammy and De Niro are both highland cows, which means they get fluffy, soft fur in the winter months!
The Donkeys
Al Pacino
“Say hello to my little friend…Ray Liotta”.
Ray Liotta
“I'm an average nobody. I get to live the rest of my life like a schnook”.
Ray Liotta and Al Pacino are two of the sweetest donkeys you will ever meet. The two enjoy eating grass in the pasture and running with their cow friends. Liotta is a big fan of hugs, while Pacino loves a good smooch on the nose. Both are mini donkeys, so they are pretty cute!
The Alpacas
Marlon Brando
“I spent my life trying not to be careless. Cows and chickens can be careless, but not alpacas”
Christopher Moltisanti
“This is my pasture. You feed anyone but me I’m coming back for your thumb”
Scarface
“I always tell the truth. Even when I lie”
The alpacas are a bit shy around visitors, but will often stare. They enjoy eating hay and watching neighbors walk by. Once a year, they are sheared giving us the softest alpaca wool to use for yarn and other projects.
The Pigs
Carmela Soprano
“You eat and you play and you pretend like there's not a giant piano hanging by a rope just over the top of your head every minute of every day."
Tony Soprano
“We buried him…on a hill…overlooking a river…with pine cones all around.”
Carmela and Tony Soprano sure know how to make an impression on people! This adorable duo love digging for food in their pasture and following their people around. Carmela in particular is one bossy lady, and has no fears of people, the cows, or donkeys! Tony on the other hand can be timid at times, but will usually get over that quickly and roll over for a belly rub. Both Tony and Carmela are KuneKune pigs, which is why they have their distinctive waddles on their faces.
The Wallaby
Joey Pesci
“I mean, funny like I’m a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh? I’m here to f**kin’ amuse you?”
Joey Pesci is one special wallaby. Joey came to the farm as a baby, and we were told Pesci was a boy. Turns out, Ms. Pesci is a girl, meaning she has a little pouch! Pesci currently resides inside our home (yes, you read that right) while we work on getting her shelter built. Pesci was bottle fed when we received her, so she loves her mom, Gina, a lot. Pesci loves hopping around, playing with toys, and eating lots of bamboo.
The Cats
Bon Jovi
Bon Jovi, aka Bonj, was the sweetest kitty and best cuddle buddy. He loved his farm friends very much and enjoyed watching all of his friends through the window. Him and his brother, Ron, moved to the farm with Von and Anna from Arizona. He was always purring and loved getting kisses and treats.
Ron Burgundy
Ron moved to the farm from Arizona with his brother, Bonj, and parents, Von and Anna. Ron was a feral cat for many years and likes to think he’s the boss on the farm. Ron loves eating, sleeping, and harassing Benny in his free time.
Benedict Cumberbatch
Benny is one surly cat. His unfortunate genetics make it very hard for him to see most of the time because his fur grows into his eyes, however this doesn’t stop Benny from hunting down mice and patrolling the farm. Benny loves exploring the land and is the only one of our farm cats that goes outside.
Skippy
Skippy is a little rough around the edges but once she warms up to you she’s a sweetheart. She enjoys three things: sleeping, eating, and tormenting Benny - ironically she can count all those three things on her three legs, because she’s missing one.
The Chickens + Ducks
While most of the animals on our farm enjoy freeloading, the chickens and ducks actually contribute with free range, farm fresh eggs.
Some of our most notable feathered friends include:
Popcorn and King Stefan: our 2 male muscovy ducks
Gaston, Hans, Ernesto, and Beetlejuice: our roosters
Fauna: mama to most of the ducks
Alice: Our most recent duckling, who was hatched by a chicken
Speck, Donkey, Willem Dafoe, Lucifer, Bellatrix, and Randall: some of our friendlier chickens
